Naturopathic medicine, what is being taught in today's school is not naturopathic medicine, it is integrative medicine. The board of the profession is pushing to merge with allopathic medicine to get 'accepted.' They are two entirely different philosophies.

There is no merging. You have emergent medicine, and non emergent medicine. Which do you want to practice?

You have to business minded. You don't just graduate and then people flock to your office. You have know how to market yourself. Not just that, but ND's have many avenues by which they can make money. Either you are a creative go getter, or you aren't.

Many people graduate ND school and do nothing with it because they aren't business sav.v.y, or they aren't competent. Many ppl go in without fully understanding what they are getting into.

5 лет назад it looks like AZ is one of the better states to work in as a naturopath from what i can tell. They can do more as far as treatments are concerned, can prescribe anti biotics & such. I just read that CIGNA (in Maricopa County) also covers their office visits or their patients can get reimbursed from their insurance agencies when they go to an ND.

At least that's what I do with mine here in AZ. I'm planning to attend NCNM once i finish my bachelors.
